Played by ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} inkblade. final fantasy remains the property of SquEnixCharacter Information~ [ Series ] –FFVII [ Character’s Name ] – Angeal Hewley [ Character’s Element ] – Metal [ Teacher or Student? ] – Teacher (Materia Class) [ Character Profile ] –Twenty-five year old Angeal is the son of former Shin-Ra scientist, Hollander, and his wife, Gillian Hewley, though both parents are now deceased. He is a SOLDIER 1st Class, best friend and rival to fellow 1st Class, Genesis Rhapsodos, compatriot of Sephiroth, and has since become a mentor to subsequent recruits into the SOLDIER program. [ Appearance ] – Standing a full two meters, Angeal is broad-shouldered and muscular, with dark hair that he wears slicked back from his chiseled face. He bears two white wings on the right side of his back, which seems to cause him some uneasiness, as he considers it the trait of a monster. [ Personality ] –Wise beyond his years, Angeal is respected for his deap-seated sense of responsibility; his true character is stoic, serious, and loyal to a fault. [ History ] – Whilst he was still in Shinra, Dr. Hollander tried to surpass Professor Hojo and create a Cetra, in an experiment named "Project Gillian." Using his wife, he infused her with Jenova cells and when she became pregnant, the result of this was Angeal Hewley. During his childhood in Banora Village, Angeal's family was poor in comparison to his best friend, Genesis Rhapsodos, who was the son of the village Mayor, but that never stopped them from becoming fast friends. Many years later, the pair forged a similar friendship and rivalry with young General Sephiroth, acheiving great renown among the SOLDIER program as the best of the best--but eventually their ambitions caused them to drift somewhat apart. Angeal was also a friend and mentor to Zack Fair, who in turn inspired Cloud Strife, before eventually signing on as an instructor at Dusk Academy--where he would be surprised to cross paths with several of his old acquaintances--though he remains still very much involved with the SOLDIER training program. [ Pets ] – none (newbie soldiers are enough of a handful) [ Other ? ] – Angeal owns one of the legendary Buster Swords, which his father purchased for him using the family's entire savings, when he joined SOLDIER. However, he rarely uses the weapon, claiming that "use brings about wear, tear, and rust." Angeal treats the sword as a family heirloom and fights with various other blades instead. | |||||
